Question

Keyboard hotkeys won’t work with contiq input

I’m running really old software. Cs6. High Sierra install. Everything was working fine with old drivers from 2014. Problem was a high Sierra update corrupted my os install, and I couldn’t recover to a previous drive image. I had to do a fresh install and then update to the latest contiq drivers.

Thats when the problem started! Anytime I use the cintiq pen, keyboard input lags or totally halts. Also, the lasso tool doesn’t work right. I fully uninstalled the drivers and manually deleted leftovers preference files. Then through trial and error I found an early 2015 driver that would still install (drivers from 2014 can’t be installed into high Sierra it seems). I’m still having the issue!

i also tried installing the lasso plugin work around that adobe released, but I think they only developed it for CC because it had no effect on my cs6 install.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

No, I'm afraid not.  That's the risk with unsupported software. Sometimes it works, sometimes it won't. Try installing on another machine.  Or you could try Photoshop CC for 7 days to see if that works on your equipment (NOTE: On 8th day, it converts to a paid plan unless you cancel beforehand).
