Question

Keyframes with Camera raw filter for grading

Hello, it is possible to grade a video with camera raw filter and change the values with keyframes?

All I've been able to do is import the video, transform it in smart object, apply the camera raw filter, but than the only keyframes option that I have are transform, opacity and style.

Any way to get around this?

Thank you both c_pfaffenbichler and davescm.
I'm used to grade videos in davinci resolve, but what I'm trying to do is animate a Raw still image changing various values in the filter.

The other way i've though on aproaching this is creating multiple files, each one for each change in tha values. But that may take alot of time.

I will see if I can manage to have a similar result with other software.

Thank you!

You could do a Frame Animation with one instance per frame with the Filter applied.

But if you have the actual RAW images processing them and then applying the Camera RAW Filter is not the same as applying those settings in processing the original RAW data itself.

The differene may not be very noticable but the Filter has to work on the processed data instead of the RAW data.

No you cannot keyframe camera raw adjustments.

If you need that level of control it sounds like Premiere Pro &After Effects are for you.

If you are serious about video, animation or film work I recommend you turn to the proper software; Photoshop’s video editing capabilities are rudimentary.

One cannot properly animate a Filter in Photoshop as of yet.

Which features of the Caera Raw Filter are you applying in particular and how do they need to be changed? Maybe several SOs atop one another with different Filter settings might allow you to fade them (at a Performance cost).
