Latest Photoshop Zoom/Marquee/Pen " Inertia " Fix

In the latest version of photoshop, when one pinches to Zoom, the zoom continues for a little bit after having stopped the pinch with the fingers which is terribly annoying.

The same goes for dragging a line with the pen tool. Once you drag the pen to the right for example and move back to left, it continues right for a bit and then follows you back left.

This "Intertial" after effect is pretty terrible for precise work, I'm not sure if it's a bug or a new feature, but I tried to look for a setting to turn this off and tried to find something posted online but couldn't find anything.

I never had this problem on previous versions of photoshop for the last few years.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

In your Photoshop Preferences do you have checked Enable Flick Panning.  Perhaps Photoshop considers zooming to be a panning tool. Zoom Click Point can be optionally be pained to the display's center

Thanks for taking the time to answer. Unfortunately that didn't help or change any of the behavior. I went back to Creative Cloud and installed v21.2.6 and that fixed the problem. Interestingly v21.2.6 does have the Enable Flick Panning and it's turned on but the zoom acts normally without the "interial" momentum. Maybe it's a bug I should submit. PS. also disabled 'Animate Zoom' and didn't help.
