Layer mask not displaying properly the edits properly in Photoshop 22.4

Question

Since upgrading to 22.4 when i try to edit my masks, the edits don't show anything happening until I hit OK, so i'm left guessing if i masked the correct area or not.

Hi,

We're sorry about the trouble with Photoshop while using the select & mask. This is a known issue where Photoshop is not showing the preview of the images while editing the mask. Our product team is working on a fix for the issue.

You can roll back to the previous version of Photoshop using the steps suggested here: https://adobe.ly/2wH0JjE

Please uninstall the latest version of Photoshop first & select the option to Keep Preferences prior to installing the previous version.
