Layer style

I can't apply layer effects that are not from the preset. If I click Fx everything stops and I can't use anything anymore The only thing that works is Ctrl+ Alt+ Delete and to start all over.

Did restoring preferences as suggested by c.p. solve this for you? If not, go to Help > System Info > Copy and paste the contents into a Reply window.

Ik heb de laatste update geïnstalleerd van Photoshop en alle vorige zijn weg EN ik kan nog steeds geen laagstijl gebruiken. Photoshop loopt vast.

Ik kan nog steeds geen laagstijl gebruiken. Het programma loopt vast van zoda ik klik op fx of laag- laagstijl of dubbel klik naast de naam in een item in lagen. het springt op een "hanje" en enkel met Alt+trl+Delete kan ik er uit.

What have you done for all-purpose trouble-shooting so far?
Restoring Preferences after making sure all customized presets like Actions, Patterns, Brushes etc. have been saved might be a good starting point:
