Hi,

Layers in psd file saved on Photoshop 24.7 version are not visible in InDesign (2019).

This same happened with psd saved in Photoshop beta version 25.

I have to use InDesign 2019, fresh version not allowed.

Update : I had to go down to Photoshop CC 21. Now it works. (PS CC22 did the same thing.)

I'm not getting the dialgue when I check "enable legacy save-as" either. The save-as window looks exactly the same regardless of whether I have it checked, and this is after doing multiple "reset warning dialogues" and restarting the program after making changes.

Looks like you found a bug.

On the Mac side under macOS Ventura 13.5.1 i found the following:

In photoshop 2022 (ps ver 23.5.5) , the PSD Maximize dialog shows regardless of whether Enable Legacy "Save As" is checked or not.

In photoshop 2023 (ps ver 24.7) the PSD Maximize dialog only shows if Enable Legacy "Save As" is checked.

Or I thought I was using legacy save-as. I'm apparently not.

What version of photoshop and operating system are you using?

In the File Handling Preferences do you have Enable Legacy "Save As" enabled?

I'm not getting that dialogue even after resetting warning dialogues in preferences.

rainmand,

There is a Don't show again check box in the PSD Maximize dialog.

Perhaps you inadvertently clicked on that at some point?

If you think you might have you can go to Edit>Preferences>General and click Reset All Warning Dialogs

or

On the Mac side Photoshop 2023>Settings (Preferences)>General and click Reset All Warning Dialogs

I noticed my psd files are larger than usual, and checked to see if "maximize compatibility" was reset, but was set to "never" as usual. I changed it to "ask" to see if there's a bug I have to override, but it won't give me an ask dialogue. I imagine there's a bug with the 'maximize compatibility' feature in this version. You want it to be on, and I want it to be off, but there's no way to control it.

Update : It could also be something in the preferences that I'm not seeing.
