Let's Start Something New!!!!!!!!!! PS 2019

For the love of god, how does one get rid of this message? Short of using the legacy start screen, nothing I do will keep it from coming back.

I've disabled the home screen and exed out the message and that will work for a bit, but it seems like once I create a new document in another CC app (InDesign for instance), and then create a new doc in Photoshop - it comes back!

Now, this would not be so awful, but, for some reason, PS (and the other CC apps) will take FIVE seconds to render that start screen when the "Let's start something new" box is in there. It's really frustrating.

I have a brand new Mac Pro and all of the software is current.

This video is pretty painful to watch but it shows the issue - also shows general settings.

This is the evil screen... Literally takes five seconds to render the contents - but only when the "Let's start something new" box is in there.

PS Version

HELP! Thanks!

You can go to the general preference and check "Use Legacy "New Document" Interface" tab which will disable the updated new document page.

Switch to Windows I disable the Home screen the first day in my preferences and have not seen the  home screen since then.   Do not even have a home Icon on the left of the tool option bar. CC 2019 open like this.

I do not use other Adobe applications.  They should not change  Photoshop Preferences.   Could something on you Mac be wiping out your Photoshop Preferences so  the start Home Screen is not disabled when Photoshop builds new a  set of Photoshop Preferences for your user ID when you start Photoshop.  Are other Photoshop Preferences you changes still in effect or are all Adobe default Photoshop Preferences setting now in effect?

yep, got that. thanks! but it's not the answer I'm looking for.

I DO like the new, new doc screen. but the goal is to remove the

"Let's Start Something New"

box since that seems to be what's stalling everything.

I can temporarily close it out but once I use other Adobe products, (indesign for example) it comes right baCK.
