LightRoom Classic to Photoshop Edit - most of the commands are greyed out

I just up-dated both my LR classic and PS. and when I chose "Edit in" from LR to photoshop - I find that 80% of the commands are greyed out. Anyone else hjave this issue and how can I fix?

I should mention, that if I open PS as a standalone, all commands are available, but I really like the seemless flow between the two programs.

It's a known bug, open Photoshop first.

    Odds are the mode is greater than 8 bit.

    I checked that, but I can't even change the BIT size as that option is greyed out as well
