Question

Lightroom Denoise to Photoshop?

I'm sure this is very basic for most of you. I have always worked primarily in Photoshop, as I primarily have scanned LF film. I now shoot some digital for landscapes and wildlife.  So....

Can I apply the new Denoise function in Lightroom and then work on that file in Photoshop. This seams simple, but I haven't found an answer yet.

Thank you!

No problem. Run Denoise, ctrl+E to open in Photoshop.

Note that for raw files from a camera, it's always best to do as much as possible in Lightroom before going to Photoshop. This is purely for image quality reasons. A linear raw file has a dynamic range of up to 14 stops to pull from, which has to be squeezed down to 8 or so stops in a gamma encoded RGB file. That process throws out a lot of data and you can't go back.
