Liquidfy effect is not smooth and makes weird circle patterns

Can someone help me with this?, i havent used the liqudify effect for a while, i dont know if this is a setting that can be changed, as you can see in the first pic the warp tool makes those weird circle patterns instead of smooth lines like the second pic

Pleaase apply the Filter as a Smart Filter and provide the file.

You may have to work at much higher resolution but I wonder if, considering the Pattern you are editing, you might not be better off with Illustrator.

Though I am not sure if it can achieve the perfectly same effect.
