Liquify Crashes Photoshop 2024 v25.9 on macOS 14.5

Hello everyone,

I’m experiencing an issue with the Liquify tool in the latest version of Photoshop (v25.9) on macOS 14.5. Whenever I use Liquify and hit OK, Photoshop crashes, even if I don’t make any changes within the Liquify tool.

Here are my system specifications:

•macOS 14.5

•Apple M2 chip

•16GB of RAM

•Latest version of Photoshop 2024

I’ve attached a screen recording to show what happens and the error response.

I’ve already tried the following steps without success:

1.Ensured macOS and Photoshop are up-to-date.

2.Reset Photoshop preferences.

3.Adjusted Performance settings to use the Graphics Processor.

Has anyone else experienced this issue or have any suggestions for a fix?

Does turning off »Use Graphics Processor« in the Performance Preferences (Photoshop > Preferences > Performance > Graphic Processor Settings) and restarting Photoshop have any bearing on the issue?

Your screen recording shows Photoshop 2024 (ps ver 25.7).

Have you updated to Photoshop 2024 (ps ver25.9) since you made the screen recording?

You can see the exact version your using by from within Photoshop by going to Help>System Info and reading the top line Adobe Photoshop Version.
