Liquify: Pixelation on otherwise sharp images

Hey there!

My images are sharp, when zoomed in close, until I open them in Liquify.

I have updated to Version 25.5.1; but I am not completely sure if this was an issue before I updated, because I hadn't used Liquify on my last few projects, before the update. 

On the very first zoom increase, the image is extremely blurred. I can still make changes and save; but it is like working in the dark-you have to save your progress to see the results, and open again to continue working, and repeat.
