Question

Logtransport2.exe high CPU usage

Having problems with logtransport2.exe using 20% of CPU even when not running photoshop. I'm not highly computer savvy but have scanned the file, no malware detected. Running an Window 10 operating system and all updates have been installed. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I have the same problem; the only Adobe program installed is Acrobat DC but every now and then my laptop fan becomes very loud and when I check with Resource Monitor I see that logtransport2.exe is using the CPU heavily. If I kill logtransport2.exe, then CPU load immediately goes down again. It seems to me that the problem is not so much the total CPU load, which is only sitting at around 20%, as that something is causing the processor frequency to go very high so in Resource Monitor I'm seeing figures like 22% total CPU usage (logtransport2.exe CPU usage 12%), but 125% maximum frequency. This happens randomly at any time of day, even if Acrobat DC is not open. I've tried waiting to see if the load would come down after a while, but even after some hours the fans are still going crazy.

This is on a Dell I7 laptop, running Windows 10.

I'm also having this problem...seems to have started with the latest update of photoshop.

Can a tech person please take a look and advise?

Thanks

I also have this problem - very hot laptop and fans making more noise than I'd ever previously heard on this machine. It started while running Photoshop 21.1.3 (doing nothing particularly demanding) and continued after closing Photoshop. Task manager pointed to "logtransport application" as the cause. Acrobat was not running. Used Task Manager to end the process. Temperature started to go down within  15 seconds or so. This is on HP Envy laptop running Wndows 10.
