Question

Losing my mind

I am trying to photoshop a very simple piece (three photos) and every time I am putting the last two eraser strokes to finish the whole app crashes and I lose my progress. I thought it was one of the files so I screenshot each one (to reduce the file size and be rid of any of the original material that might be causing issue) and it still does this. I'm about to delete the app all together because I've been trying this particular piece for days and it keeps doing the same thing. My app is up to date.

You posted to the orphaned Photoshop Mix forum for a mobile app that has been out of support for two years, but say you are using Photoshop. I've moved your post to the Photoshop forum.

  • What version of Photoshop (not "up to date")
  • What is your OS version?
  • Did you save your document? A saved document should theoretically be recovered after a crash. You might do a Save As with a new name every so often, adding _001, _002, et cetera.
  • Is your document a PSD or PSDC? If you are working on the Cloud, there are automatic saves and you can retrieve earlier versions.
  • Are you filing out the crash reports and including your Adobe ID? Staff reads them and can see the cause of the crash. They are also on the Photoshop forum.
  • Before you delete Photoshop, try resetting Preferences manually.

Please go to Help > About > Copy and then Paste in a Reply window in the forums. It's long and may take a minute or two to process.
