Lost 3D Functionality

I have been opening 360 equirectangular images through the 3D Spherical Panorama functionality and successfully editing the images and exporting them.

Recently, something changed on my Windows 10 machine so that when I click on the 3D tab in Photoshop, none of the features under that tab are enabled (all grayed out). I cannot figure out why.

I've seen references to making sure OpenGL is enabled. I have an NVidia graphics card and the drivers are all up to date. When I render video using Adobe Media Encoder, I can select Mercury Playback Engine GPU Accelerations (OpenGL) so I know the graphics card and OpenGL are working.

I have completely uninstalled all of the Adobe applications and reinstalled and have the 2021 version. All of my Windows drivers are current. I do not know what changed on my machine, or how to fix this.
Please Help.

Are you using a laptop? It looks like you might be as we can see both the Nvidia and an Intel 520 GPUs. This is going to be doubly problematic as Photoshop can get confused when dealing with multiple GPUs, plus the current version of Photoshop has a number of known issues with GPUs. Plus you need GPU support to use things like 3D Spherical Panorama.

Your first step is to follow the advice here and try and force Photoshop to use the Nvidia GPU

If after doing that Preferences > Performance is still not seeing your Nvidia GPU, then I'd be guessing that it is V22.3.1 related, and you can either roll back to a previous Photoshop version, or wait for an update with a fix.

I am been using this Windows Surface Book Pro for a number of years without problem.
I went to the site you recommended and followed Number 7, to no avail.
On the Nvidia Panel there was a message that says "Windows OS now manages selection of the graphics processor" and provides a link to the Windows graphic settings. However just below that note, there is a selection window for "Preferred graphics Processor" which is selected to High-performance NVIDIA processor.

I followed to the link to the Windows Graphic Processor settings and found there was only one application in the selection box: OBS64.exe, and it is set for NVIDIA. I pulled the Photoshop.exe into the application box and it's option is set for NVIDIA.

I rebooted and then went into Photoshop. The Performance Pain still shows the CPU graphics selection as Unknown. Attached screen shot.

Unbelieveable.

Okay...how about this.
I went into Device Manager and disabled the NIVIDA under the display adapter settings.
Don't know how this will affect the other programs, but Photoshop was able to see this and allow me to turn on openCL, and the 3D options are now back and working.

According to Windows, my NIVIDA driver is current and the device proves to be properly operating...so I am going to assume NIVIDA pushed out an update that meets all other specs, except Photoshop's.

I've not yet checked on Premiere's functionality.
