Marquee tool acting weird.
Hi, I was working on something earlier today and I believe I accidentally pushed a shortcut using a combination of Ctrl - Shift - Alt and maybe C or X... Basically some keys down in that section of the keyboard. What it seems to have done is alter the behavior of the Rectangular Marquee tool. With that tool selected and attempting to deselect an area with alt, what happens is I left click and drag, then hold alt and it no longer shows the minus next to my cursor. It also doesn't deselect the area I just marked after releasing. Now pressing alt makes the marquee's selection area blow up a bit. Sometimes it jumps to corners, or seems to have a preferred location to move to. It also looks like it mirrors the movement of the selection box on all sides. This problem makes trying to select an area difficult.
I've had photoshop for a few years and never ran into this problem until today. So far what I've done to fix it, after googling around, was to check the snap settings, look under tool preferences, and reset my preferences. Couldn't find a solution. If anyone knows how to fix this I'd appreciate the answer.
In this Gif I start out by showing the regular motion of moving the Marquee tool. Next it shows what happens when alt is pushed and held. Then back to the normal motions (how it should act with alt held as well).
