Marquee tool hanging & crop tool crashing after updating to Photoshop 22.3

Question

I up dated to 22.3 on the weekend. Ever since any tool that uses a marquee tool or had "marching ants", has immense lag and it near impossible to use. I cant use my heal tool becuase of it. If i use my marquee tool, it takes about 4 seconds to register the shape, if i then go to move it, it does not move (yes I am using the correctly selected tool). Also when creating the marquee tool, the marching ants flash intensely and glitch so you cannot see where it is in real time.

Also when I use the crop tool, PS crashes.
I am trying to reinstall a previous version but Adobe keeps haning and not letting me 😞
Any ideas?

Hi,

We're sorry about the trouble due to Photoshop crashing. Would you mind telling us which operating system are you working on?

You can try disabling the option to Use Graphics Processor from Photoshop by going to Preferences, then Performance. Once done, quit & relaunch Photoshop to check if that helps. If it does, you can check out: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/troubleshoot-gpu-graphics-card.html
