message stuck on Photoshop

I've just downloaded photoshop and the little 'Downloading Assets' message is stuck at 76% and I can't cancel it as it doesn't work. How can I get rid of it?

I don't use Mac but I was having the same problem on my IBM laptop. I logged out of my account and then logged right back in. The message went away. Hope that helps.
