Migrating to New Computer [How to transfer preferences, brushes, actions and presets?]

Guys,

I've spent a lot of time working Photoshop.  The look, layout, brushes, actions, presets etc.  I have just purchased a new computer and installed both these programs onto my new computer... rather IT did.  I've got my plugins all back in but am at a loss on how to transfer all the rest of these things and perhaps others I don't even know I should.

I have done some research online but all seem quite complicated.

Could it be as easy as finding my way to appdata, copying everything there and pasting into the same file on the new computer?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks in advance!

Chris H.

Actions are explicitly covered in detail below, presets for tools and other assets should be covered in the previously posted links.

Copy/Paste will certainly work, I do not know what you have read online but copying actions, brushes... and pasting will work if you have them in default locations. If you have actions/presets anywhere else but loaded in Photoshop then copy/paste to a new computer and load them in Photoshop.
