Missing filters

Hello,

I recently upgraded to a Canon 90D and have PS CC 22.1 on Windows 10 Pro. I open CR3 files in 16bit RAW - Adobe RGB and will edit and save as TIFF files for print. I sometimes use Artistic filters and others but I noticed they were grayed out in the dropdown menu with my new files. I went back and checked to make sure my preferences were set to allow all plugins, etc. and they still were grayed out. One forum suggestion was to reinstall Photoshop so I did that and they are still the same. I opened older CR2, TIFF, & JPEG files and the filters are no longer grayed out and I can use them! I went back and saved my new CR3 file the same way and the filters are still grayed out! What's the deal? Is there some embed file or setting from Adobe or Canon that I'm missing??

If you convert to 16Bit RGB color some filters may still not support 16bit color these will be Grayed out if the current document is mode is not 8Bit RGB Color.  Other filters may gray out if the current mode mode is not RGB Clor CMYK or Lab color may not be supported by some filters. Like ACR as a filter will be grayed out if the current mode is CMYK or Lab color. Feature in Photoshop may have some requirements  to be available for use.

Thanks,You are absolutely right! I thought I was I opening them all in 16bit when I was using the filters but apparently not. Had not noticed that some filters were not not available for 16bit files.
Thanks again!
