Missing part of Texture actions in PS CS5

I am using Photoshop CS5.1 and am learning to use actions and textures. I ran some of the Texture Actions and I did not reproduce the results my video instructor had.  Instead I received error messages stating a certain command was not available. So I tested all of the Actions and of the 26 Texture Actions only the four yellow highlighted actions ran without errors.

The missing commands are:

  • Pointillize
  • Shear
  • Wave
  • Craquelure
  • Reticulation
  • Spatter
  • Texturizer
  • Dry Brush
  • Mezzotint
  • Chrome
  • Plastic Wrap
  • Bas Relief
  • Dark Strokes
  • Plaster
  • Stained Glass
  • Glowing Edges
  • Grain
  • Glass
  • Rough Pastels

How can I fix these actions?

How can I fix these actions?

I suspect you might be misunderstanding what’s happening.

Please post a screenshot of the image with the Options Bar, the Layers Panel, the Channels Panel and the expanded Action in the Actions Panel visible after the failure happened (for one of the affected Actions for starters).

You might be right about my misunderstanding what's happening. I tested it and sometimes it worked and sometimes it didn't. I will create a document and change it to 8 bits and see what happens.

    Thanks!

If you need further assistance please post a complete screenshot with the Layers Panel and Actions Panel visible after the error occurred.

Check the Color Mode and Bit Depth of your document under Image>Mode and make it's RGB Color and 8 Bits/Channel.

Some filters only work in RGB Color and/or 8 bits/channel.
