Mixer brush presets lose sample load when resizing brush

Hello,

I am having an issue with the mixer brush presets. If I create a mixer brush tool preset with "include color" enabled, I can maintain whatever my current sample colors/textures are from that image. I can then select the preset later, and it will automatically load that original sample, even if I've been taking other samples.

However, if I resize the brush, or change the brush alpha, it will lose that original sample, and revert to whatever the current mixer brush sample is.

Could there be an edit under the PSUserConfig.txt, or some other modification, that would prevent brush resizing from losing the preset sample?

I am using PhotoShop CS6

Still no fix for this? How frustrating. I'm trying to create a brush set and every single time I change the size of a completed brush it reverts to the previously used mixer swatch. If the color can't be included in the brush, remove the option or fix the issue, Adobe!

I ran across the same problem. If I closed Ps and reopened it the mixer brush tool preset would only work at the size it was created in. For me the solution was to create a brush preset rather than tool preset. That worked fine. But...to create the brush preset I found I had to create it from the Edit menu: Define Brush Preset. In other words:

I followed the steps to create a mixer brush in Stephen Burns video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mgNeaYN4hHI&t=24s ), but after alt-clicking on the image I used the Edit menu:Define Brush Preset instead of creating a new tool preset.

I got the same issue. Your proposed workaround does not completely solve the problem because the Edit: Define Brush Preset does not give the option to include color....

This is frustrating to note that this issue was report in 2018... How can we send or open a trouble ticket for Adobe Photoshop development team?

I have same issue! Very annoying. I have to keep my initial file with an image for sampling and saple from there every time I need to reuse a paticular sample for my mixer brush, but it takes way more time rather than if presets worked properly. Has anyone managed to fix it?
