Question

Moving a font character will duplicate it...I have just had an automatic update in PS CC.

Here is my problem:

New document: Fine

T (to add font/text):  Fine

When I drag the text letter it then DUPLICATES!

Has anyone else had this annoying scenario?

WARNING: If you use the live chatline and then allow Adobe tech to work on your computer,

MAKE SURE THEY ENSURE YOUR SETTINGS & INTERFACE ARE NOT ALTERED!

It seems this is a re-occurring problem because it was corrected but then came back...!

I'd be interested if this has happened to anyone else in the graphic world?

Stay Safe...Phil

My problem has re-occurred!

Please see attached .jpg (below)
Do you suggest UN-TICKING THIS OPTION?

It seems that any additional layer (font character/shape..etc.) duplicates!
the only way to remove the duplicated item is to click the "eye" next to the layer that was below the offending item...

Please advise...

Try it 😉

I unchecked it and it solved my problems.

Thank you all for taking the time to suggest a solution...

...I appreciate the feedback.

It seems that un-ticking the LEGACY BOX resolves the problem!

Happy Photoshopping!    PHIL

Try disabling legacy option under performance in preferences, see other similar duplication problems.

Thank you for your suggestion...

I have just opened the editing suite CC and it seems that the TEXT option
is now working correctly.
I don't often get gremlins, but the biggest headache was when a tech guy
attempted to resolve the problem at 3am last night, and completely changed
my workspace!
It took me some time to re-edit it back its original layout...

Hi, Mac? Pc? Ps 21.2?

did you reset the text tool with a right click on its icon in the Option Bar?
