I am a 3d artist and generally have around 10-20 images that create 1 image.  Per project, there can be anywhere from 5-50 images that consist of these layers.  "Load files into stack" is what we need, however doing this over and over per each group is a long process.

I was wondering if it would be possible to create a script that would be able to crawl through folders under one main folder and load all images in those folders into stacks.

directory structure would be as follows

>main folder (selected folder)

>>>image folder1 (loads all images into layers and saves a psd with the name of the image folder to the main folder)

>>>>>>image1

>>>>>>image2

>>>>>>image3

>>>>>>image....

>>>image folder2(loads all images into layers and saves a psd with the name of the image folder to the main folder)

>>>>>>image1

>>>>>>image2

>>>>>>image3

>>>>>>image....

>>>image folder3(loads all images into layers and saves a psd with the name of the image folder to the main folder)

>>>>>>image1

>>>>>>image2

>>>>>>image3

>>>>>>image....

and so on

I think this could be also beneficial if it could also recognize stacked groups in bridge.

In short, at least on our end, we want to be able to place the folders in one set directory that will always be used for processing the batches of images and be able to press one button via action script or other method.  Then it just simply does the task.

Thanks!
