Question

Multiple PhotoShops on my CC Apps List

I am on a iMac running Big Sur. What are the differences between PS 23.1 and PS 22.5.4? Why do both appear as a part of my CC apps list? Based on their capabilities I would like to make my CC default to one of these. I have tried to find the answers to this but tough to find any. I wish Adobe would address questions like this.

Thanks in advance.

Hi there,

Photoshop 23.1 and Photoshop 22.5.4 are the different versions of the Photoshop application out of which version 23.1 is the latest. Creative Cloud Application is a set of all Adobe apps, so that is the reason both versions are appearing in Creative Cloud Application at your end.

Hi

You can check out the What's New section here

https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/whats-new.html

It will tell you what's been added in each new version

With regards to having 2 versions installed, some people like to have a previous version installed in case there's issues with the most recent version, so if you're not short on disk space it's always a good idea to have a fall back version
