Question

My gradient tool in Photoshop can't pick colors from the wheel on macOS

Hi!

I used to simply pick a color with color picker and then when using a gradient tool just blob the selected color onto the canvas without any worries.

Now no matter how much I change colors on the color wheel I can't do that. I can only change the color when changing it in the gradient editor, which is higly ineficient for me.  I feel like I've check every option I could but still nothing works.

What did I messed up? (:

Hi,

We're sorry about the trouble with Photoshop while using the Gradient tool. Would you mind sharing the version of Photoshop you're using along with your computers macOS version?

You can try resetting the Gradient tool in Photoshop by using the steps suggested here: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/basic-troubleshooting.html#tool

Let us know if it helps!

Regards,

Nikunj

Hi!

Thank you for replying,

I tried resetting the tool but it didn't quite work. The gradient tool is still not responding to my colors and do not have  transparency.

I have Adobe Photoshop 2020 and my mac is  MacOS Catalina.

I know this isn't the latest version of mac but I always have 1000 new problems when upgrading so if it'd be possible I'd rather try all other possibilities first.

I'll add a screenshot of my screen if that'd help in any way. It's in polish though (:
