  1. If I purchase Adobe Elements can I simply attach a DVD player to my MacBook Air and install from there?  I assume that would work, but thought I better check with your forum for confirmation that that is a viable approach.

"attach a (usb) dvd reader/player" Yes. If you could find Photoshop? Elements on a CD/DVD version.

Most (if not all) Adobe software is now 'sold or subscribed' by direct downloads from Adobe.

Be very wary of ebay or private sales of obsolete software- It may not be possible to activate it, or run it on recent computer OS.

Photoshop elements on DVD is sold at places like Best Buy, B&H, etc, so it's perfectly legitimate software. The advantage of buying a dvd is you get a license for both mac and windows vs buying from adobe where you have to buy each license separately.
