My Photoshop Bevel & Emboss is not working!

Looking for help on this problem.  When I try to use the Bevel and Emboss Layer style, nothing happens.  I''ve been using Photoshop for years and have no idea why this is happening.  I'm using version 25.3.1.  Tried all settings and nothing has helped.  Thanks for any input.

    A possible reason for your issue is that the bevel Style option is set to Stroke Emboss. However, without a screenshot of your settings, it is hard to tell for sure.

      What colour is the object you are applying B&E to?

       

      Can you show us a full res screen shot of your enntire workspace showing image, layers panel and Layer Styles with B&E selected.
