Question

My photoshop experience is full of bugs, do you also have the same problem?

Hey all, I use a 16-inch MacBook pro with pretty decent configurations. I use photoshop for photo editing and it is full of bugs. The pixels turn black while zooming in and out or changing opacity in layers. Photos stop showing for a while (gray screen in photoshop) and then coming back. Issues with the spot healing brush etc. Nothing major but downgrades the whole experience, and it takes me more time to edit a photo.

Have a great day.

Hi

A few things

1. Your system is seeing two GPUs. Running multiple GPUs with conflicting drivers is a known problem for Photoshop. See section 7 & 8 here:
https://helpx.adobe.com/uk/photoshop/kb/troubleshoot-gpu-graphics-card.html

2. That said the GPU appears to be partially disabled. Have you turned it off in Preferences - Performance?

3. You are not running the latest version. The current version is 21.2.2 so it will be worth going to the CC desktop app and updating.

Welcome to this friendly forum.

As Dave asks, and implies, it's probably not bugs, but a system issue.

State your version of Photoshop and OS and how much RAM and spare disk space you have.

And reset your Photoshop Preferences to see if that helps.

Also, see if unticking Use Graphics Processor in Preferences under the Performance tab helps.

Dear Derek,

Thank you for the message.

I have macOS Catalina with 32 GB ram and 2TB storage. 2,4- 8 core i9 / AMD Radeon pro 5500 8GB. The photoshop is the lastest version. I will try to reset the photoshop references.

Best wishes

No. If anyone is to help, we need some further info. Can you go to Help - System info and click the copy button. Then paste the info here.

Dear Dave,

Thank you for the message. I copy (not all of it, since it is pretty long) the system info below.

Have a great Sunday.

Best
