My text shows up on layers but not on my picture, Photoshop

I have text that I added on my photo, it is in the layers menu but it is not appearing on my picture. I also had saved it before this happened and tried to go back to it but the text is just gone.

Also check the font size.

Reasons for this can include:

White text on a white background
Text that is outside the canvas area
Text layer under a pixel layer
Et cetera

Double-click the "T" icon in your text layer (far left) to select the text, then show a screen shot that includes the selected text as well as the Character and Layers panels so we can better assist.
