My Text tool is not working

I must finish a work I am doing for somebody, and in the middle of the project, my TEXT TOOL IS NOT WORKING. Please HELP

    Is not working:

    Can you create a text box with the text tool?

    You can't start typing?

    If you create a new layer, you can click with the tool in the center of the image, is it possible for you to do that?

    Try trashing the preference file in Photoshop, see if that works.

    Also, Reset all your Tools back to defaults.

    I reset my text tool , I updated to the new version of 2919 Photoshop, but my problem mas still unsolved.

    I went to the characters window and apparently I had the number that control de spaces in between lines too high so I couldn’t see what I was writing inside my picture. It’s hard to explain, but I was able to solve my problem.

      If you open the paragraph style you can double click in the basic style and check you have something like this

      Also if you type text and nothing happens, you can select all (command or control A( and then press this icon in the paragraph style panel
