Need to find my photos from2010. My computer died

If it was your hard drive that failed, there are some free and shareware file recovery tools available. I had a drive fail once, and used one of these tools. I found it could recover simpler formats like text files and jpegs, but not complete video files.

If you saved your photos on your computer, then most likely, you're out of luck, unless you backed them up to a separate drive, which I'm asumming you didn't do. What failed on your computer? If it was something other than the hard drive, you can attach the drive to another computer and access it.
