NEF problems on CS6 extended

I have Photoshop CS6 ver 13.1.2 x32 that I am running on win 10 home 21h1. It's a dell xps 8920 Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-7400 CPU @ 3.00GHz 3.00 GHz  with 32 ram. I have a Nikon D750 and I can't get the NEF files to open.

A while back I tried downloading the adobe raw plugin v 7.3.0.71 but it doesn't seem to do anything.  I tried the latest version the RAW importer and it wouldn't work.

Any suggestions? I don't use the program enough to purchase the subscription.  I might buy the subscription for 1 year and cancle, if it won't auto delete or stop running on my computer.

Did you try Help>Updates from within photoshop cs6 to get camera raw 9.1.1?

All that said, the D750 is supported from ACR 8.7, which will run under Photoshop CS6. The latest ACR version that will work is 9.1.1.

You cannot buy the subscription, cancel, and keep it running. It doesn't work that way.

As a side effect the subscription would take over CS6, and if you stop paying CS6 wouldn't work either.

You can subscribe for $120 per year, a steal when Photoshop CS6 was $700.
