Question

Neural Skin Smooth just works on one face in picture

Hi Everyone,

Despite highlighting a different face (by placing the blue box around it) before running the filter, Neural filter skin smoothing only smoothes the initial face it chooses once the filter loads.  In a photo with two or more faces, the filter recognizes each face properly, and allows me to switch the blue box to any face in the picture, but then proceeds to smooth the it targeted when the filter first loaded.  What am I doing wrong?  Same thing happens on both of my MAC computers.  Thanks.

Of course you can always apply a layer mask to the Neural Skin Smooth layer if you duped it and brush out as much as you like.

This is still an issue with multiple faces but you can work around it by duplicating the layer and masking out one face at a time creating new lyers for each face. Turn off all other layers and then run the filter for that face.

I am having the same issue. The video a previous commenter posted was no help since there was only a single person in each image. Did you figure out how to make it work? Or does anyone have a fix? Thank you!

I've not found a solution as it continues to happen to me. My work around is that I duplicate the background layer for however many subjects I want to edit with the neural filter and then on each layer I erase everyone's face except for one. That way, the filter recognizes that face when I open it. After I've done each face, I merge the layers. It's a bit of a hassle, but it works for me. I wish I could figure out why I can't toggle between them in the filter itself!
