New gradient fills not working on export...

The gradient tool in Adobe Photoshop Version: 25 no longer works as intended. 
When I create a gradient within an artboards(the one on the left) it looks fine but when I export it the distribution of the gradient is different (the one on the right).

I also can't find a way to change back to the old gradient from this "gradient fill" which obviously seems to not function.
