New iMac--old MacBook crashed. How do I get my Photoshop CS6 back?

I had Photoshop CS6 on the MacBook Pro.  Logic board crashed, can't get my license number or anything else from it.  PS CS6 came with the MacBook, bought used.  No installation disk.  How can I get Adobe to look me up and hook me up on the new iMac (OS Sierra)?  Anybody know?  Thanks.

I am afraid without the original license you are likely out of luck unless you have access to the former owners Adobe account.

Thank you everyone.  It is as I suspected--a lost cause, as the MBP HD was wiped, and apparently I didn't register the product--thought I had. Time for an updated product anyway, I 'spect.   Thank you for your time, folks.

And you will be glad you did ;-)

Good luck.

Thanks, Brad.  While I'm asking questions, maybe I should've asked: And which new Photoshop will I likely be gladdest I got?

I suppose it depends on what I like to do with images (and movies), which is probably that I like to have my cake and eat it too.  I like to have all the nifty options, but not have to get a migraine trying to figure out how to use them.  Is there such a thing?

If you registered CS6 with Adobe, your serial number would be under the  Adobe ID/password you used. You would just log in and look under "My Products".

If you did you could chat with Customer Care: Find your serial number

If all else fails remove the drive from the old MBP and boot into it using a SATA to USB connector.

You purchased a used MacBook that had version of PS that you did not purchase?

You are out of luck.

Maybe you pull the hard drive off the old machine and get the data cloned.
