Hi. How much space do I need to even start Photoshop? I just installed a trial and tried to start it up and it says failed to initialize because scratch disks are full. I only have 4.32 gb but it seems like that should be enough?? How much do you need to even start it I need to figure out how feasible it is to use my current computer. Thanks.

Before you try to start Photoshop on Window  press and hold CTR+ALT keys then try to start Photoshop.   Photoshop should open a dialog that allows you to  configure Photoshop Scratch Disk configuration.  Change the default your startup disk like C:.  To a disk the has more space.   4GB free is not much space and your boot disk need to have free space for system used for good performance. You do not want Photoshop filling your boot disk your system performance will go to pot.

Also is it possible to install on another drive? I have a surface with a microsd card with more space but I didn't see the option to choose where it was being installed when I installed it. Thanks again.

Install on non-boot drive see reply #1 https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2549431

HOWEVER... installs are not allowed to a removable drive, since removing the drive breaks the registration

Move data files to your SD card to make space on the internal drive
