New version of Photoshop not working

With the new version  of Photoshop, I am receiving the error message "Could not complete your request because of a program error."  I cannot open any file types and I have to go to Task Manager and select End Task to close Photoshop.  I have a lot of work to complete.  Your help will be greatly appreciated.
