Newbie photoshop project advice

Hi Everyone, this is my first photshop post and I have only used photoshop for like a month in my life. I have spent around 7 months in my life trying to learn premiere pro and after effects. I believe the concept of layers is aimilar accross the platforms but I am struggling to learn photoshop. I just started a family youtube channel and was hoping you could take a look at the banner and logo I made for our YouTube homepage, the banner itself is a mess and is like 30+ layers of different stuff and any other advice you have please. Hi Ranjisha, thanks for responding and the info. I have attached a screenshot of the banner image if you wouldn't mind taking a look at it. One thing I encountered was sometimes when I use the pen tool to mask I would be able to create a mask and sometimes I wouldn't. Sometimes it would come out as vector mask and sometimes it wouldn't. The mask tool I really like using was the one that pops up to full screen and let's me change the background and use three brush type tools in upper left to eith + or -. The problem is I don't know how to open it all the time when I do have a mask lol. Thanks again for the help.
