Newest version of Photoshop crashes on launch

I've posted this over in the general Bug forum (since it's acorss several Adobe programs), but I was recommended to share it here as well.

Photoshop was working fine until the most recent auto-update—it ran one day, the update was installed, and it crashed the next. The only change made on my computer was the Adobe updates.

I was running an earlier version of macOS Ventura, so I installed a later version of Ventura, then the newest version of Sonoma. Photoshop no longer crashes on launch—I can make a new file, but I can't bring an image into Photoshop. Opening a file from an SD card causes Photoshop to instantly crash. There's no specific error window/code, just the standard "sorry, an error occured" message. I uninstalled Photoshop, went back to the previous version, and it still crashed.

I've uninstalled all CC apps & CC and am currently reinstalling them, which will hopefully fix the issue, but I wanted to check here in case it doesn't resolve the issue.

I ended up on a call with an Adobe rep, and apparently the issue was GPU compositing being checked in the advanced performance settings for Photoshop. Not sure why it was spontaneously a new issue, but that's what fixed it!

@meganc3011977 turning off GPU compositing means your computer may be older or lacking in resources. Also opening files directly off your SD card is a major cringe. Any kind of interruption or issue when opening could corrupt your original files. Always drag those assets locally to your desktop from the SD then open for safetys sake.
