Nik collection keeps opening as an expired version in Photoshop

I installed the trial version of Nik collection 2, now it's expired. I installed the free version of Nik collection but every time I try to start the program in PS, the expired version starts, is there a possibility to use the old version of Nik collection? I tried to uninstall both PS and nik collection but I only see the screen of the expired program. Can you help me? Thank you.

    Hi Gianmarcom,

Sorry that you're having trouble using your Nik collection 2 plugin while using with Photoshop.

Could you please restore Photoshop app preferences to default and let us know if the issue still persists?

Please refer this article for instructions on how to restore Photoshop preferences: Preferences in Photoshop

Once you restore the app preferences, please reinstall the Nik plugin and let us know if that helps.

    Thanks,

    Akash

I think I figured out the solution if you are running MacOS Big Sur and you want to run the old version of the plug-in. The free one. I wrote a mini guide here on reddit. https://www.reddit.com/r/photography/comments/l2l9mi/fix_error_your_trial_has_expired_on_free_version/

    Hope this helps. Fabio @Standbypics

    Thanks Fabio,

Unfortunately I am not (using Windows) but I ended up just purchasing a new version from the new company. I did find that I could re-download the old copy but it looked like it wasn’t all there. After buying the new version it also looked like it wasn’t all there but they showed me where the rest was accessible from and button that was pretty hidden. I have to wonder if the free version had it hiding there too and I spent $150 I did need to.

The frustrations of multi company support (as I think it was something Photoshop did that knocked it off in the first place but they couldn’t help me.)

    Hi

What operating system do you have, why don't you just uninstall trial version of the Nik Collection 2 and then re-install the free version

I uninstalled the nik collection, but nothing to do, I also tried to uninstall PS, but no result. Thanks anyway. :-)
