Hi, When trying to use my Nik extentions my screen displays a red rectangle which stays over the window even after it's fully loaded. This prevents me doing anything except a force quit. I've a screenshot below. Any ideas what's going on ?

I have the exact same problem. Have you been able to solve this? I have uninstalled Nik, re-installed it, updated Photoshop, rebooted, etc. Nothing helps. The red square appears immediately when I click on any of the Nik filters in the filter drop down menu. The Nik filters don't even open - everything freezes.

I seem to have solved it: I went in Photoshop to Preferences > Performance and unchecked the box to use my (really good) graphics card. After I unchecked it, I quit Photoshop. I opened it again, opened a photo and opened one of the Nik filters. It suddenly worked! But with the graphic card unchecked, it was not working smoothly. So I went back to Preferences > Performance and I checked the box again, telling photoshop to use my graphics card. And after that, it kept working. So for me, it seemed to be a hick-up with the graphics card.     Deactivated it.      Activated it.     Fixed it.

Try reinstalling the plugin extension in Photoshop to begin with.

Hi there,

Sorry that Photoshop interface is being overlapped by the Nik collection extension that is not loading correctly.

Would you mind contacting the Nik support team to troubleshoot this issue? See https://support.dxo.com/hc/en-us/categories/115002389907-Nik-Collection-by-DxO

You may try reinstalling the plugin extension in Photoshop to begin with.

Let us know the outcome.

Thanks,

Akash
