No Blending mode selection

So I can choose any blending mode form the menu on layers from photos but not on created documents.

Thats is confusing  let me explain.

If I open a photo in PS it all wroks fine with applying blending modes to layers.

But when I create a new document I can only choose a few and the one like Hard, Soft, and Linear Light are blown out, this happens on evey layer even ones I create and isn't cause the background is locked.

I have no clue why this is or if I messed up with the settings but it is annoying AF!

Anyways thanks for your answers.

Also I use the CC 2017

What is the image mode of your new document? It sounds like you may be using 32 bits/Channel?

Unless you have a specific reason to do that - create your document in 8 or 16 bits /channel and all should be well

Dave is correct. 32 bit channel has been selected. When you create a new document choose 8 bit or 16 bit:

If you open the problem document and choose Image>Mode>16 bit or 8 bit. You will fix it.

Remember if you have layers make sure you keep them by choosing Don't Merge.

Hope that helps.
