No changes displayed until I zoom. How to fix.

Since the latest update of Photoshop I have a bug which has made it unusable.

When ever I make a change to a document (not all of the time but most of the time) it looks like nothing has happened. If I use the zoom tool suddenly the changes appear on my document. This basically renders my photoshop unusable.

It happens during any selection, masking, undo-ing, shape drawing - but strangely not for some tools like the paint brush.

It also doesn't display the errors in the layers palette.

Deleting preferences doesn't do anything.

I have un-installed and reinstalled which fixed the problem for about half a day.

I have turned off 'use graphics processor' in preferences - no change.

I am running OSX 10.13.3

Intel Iris Graphics 550

Late 2016 MacBook Pro

Can anyone help me please!

I was also having this refresh problem (Mac, CC-2018, everything up to date) and happened to have the Right Font app installed too. It's a font management app that integrates with Ps, and updating it fixed the faulty behavior. Nice.

Bang on with Rightfont. That was exactly what was causing the problem. An update (annoyingly a paid one) and everything is back to normal.

Thanks - I'll work my way through them and see what I can find.

Nope. One recommendation on that thread is about 'show start' but no matter what is checked I still get the issue.

If you had done a Forum search you might have found this thread

Never owned a Wacom but at least I know it might be a driver for something that's causing the issue.

It seems an issue that’s difficult to pin down unfortunately …
