Question

No window visible before freeze, CS6

Hi,

unfortunately, Photoshop CS6 does not start anymore. I'm not aware of any update for change to the system that might have caused this.

I'm using Mac OS. When launching Photoshop, it shows the menu bar at the very top, but no other window. In particular, I do not see a loading splash screen.

After some time, the menu becomes unresponsive and I cannot quit the application anymore.

Steps I did after the problem occured:

- Delete preferences folder in Users/[user name]/Library/Preferences/

- Reinstall application.

However, the problem still persists. Does anyone have any idea? I'm clueless right now 😕😕

System:

OS X El Capitan version 10.11.6

iMac with NVIDA Geforce 9400 256mb

Thanks in advance!

    Hi monikajaeger,

You may try few things to fix this issue.

    1. Reset the Photoshop preferences back to default, refer: Preferences in Photoshop

    2. Also, update the Photoshop to the latest update and check if that helps.

    Regards,
