Not able to open photos

I am in desperate need of help with a situation causing me to loose my mind.

So Im using photoshop cc on a macbook air. i upload my photos onto the macbook which automatically upload to photos. When I open photoshop cc and go to file open and look in photos only a few if any of any of the photos that are there appear. I have spoken to photoshop over chat before and they advised to copy and paste photos into pictures and then you are able to view all of the images. The problem with this is after you have copied and pasted you are losing a lot of quality in the images and they are very pixelated. If anyone has had any similar issues or knows of a solution I would really really appreciate any help. Thanks

So you macbook is full of air not brains.  It does not sound like a good  idea to use copy and past from an image viewer that  is scaling down your image to fit on your display.  Even a 5K display has less pixels than your camera. Are you sure you were told to use copy and paste.  Would think a better way would be to use drag from finder and drop on Photoshop.  But than I use windows so what do I know.

The problem seems to be your uplaoad to Photos.  Photos does not seem to work with Photoshop.  Is the problem Adobe's or Apple's.
