Hello I am new to photoshop, I am trying to test things out and get used to it but when I try to do anything a box pops up saying there is not enough RAM. I am not sure what to do about this, I tried the purge button but that did not do anything.

Hi

Adobe released Photoshop 19.1.5 today which fixes the issue.

Once installed, to allow Photoshop to manage memory - the temporary fix needs to be removed . See this :

Error while accessing performance preferences - 'An integer between 96 and 8 is required.'

Also try launching Photoshop without any other applications open. Quit any open applications before launching Photoshop in case one of your other programs is using up all your available memory. Otherwise as Ged wrote post your system specs.

Hi

You haven't provided any detailed information about your system specs so without that information it's really hard to help you.

If you are on Windows 10 release 1803 there are known issues with RAM errors, if that is the case try this workaround

Error while accessing performance preferences - 'An integer between 96 and 8 is required.'

If this does not relate to you please provide as much detailed information as possible

Hello Ged.  Thank you for this information.  I too am having the same issue.  I have Windows 10 Pro 1803.  RAM is 4 (3.90 available)

can you help me with the work around?  I have tried only opening PS and that is not working.
