object finder tick box missing

Hi Ian,

If you are on the Object Selection tool and do not have the Object Finder checkbox in the options bar, then you are not running Photoshop 2022. Check in Help > About for the version.

It's also possible that you have 2022 installed, but that it's not the one that launched. Try launching it from the Creative Cloud app.

That check box is only with the Object selection tool:

You can change the object selection tool to use Lasso as its mode.

If you are missing a tool from the tools panel, you can click the 3 dots [...] in the bottom of the tools panel to restore or reset the panel.
But if you are asking about options in the options bar, it depends on the tool you are using. It is the option of the active tool.
