object is not effected by free transform.

Hello, I am trying to use the perspective free transform. I use the Photoshop ver. 24.5.0 and am trying to sellect a object for free transforming. But when I go through all the steps to change the object and press apply, nothing happens. The boarders use to transform an object are working ancherrs and all, can change to diffrent sellection types and have the use graphics prosseser turned on. but nothing. I'm trying to find a way but no video I've searched even tachles the subject. If anyone can help I would greatly aprechiate it.

    Do you have more pixels on layer of what is inside handles? If yes then I suspect you have path in the Window > Paths panel and you are actually transforming that path not pixels on active layer.

    Check in Paths panel that none of the paths is not active or selected before entering free transform. To ensure no path is selected open Paths panel and if you have any path click in empty space on Paths panel outside of any available path which looks similar to layer.

      It may help if we could see your Photoshop System Info. Launch Photoshop, and select Help >System Info...and copy/paste the text in a reply.

          When I get done scaling the and hit enter the object does not change, example the dumpster in the bootom left corner. Sorry it took so long for me to reply.

            Can you post screenshot of entire Ps window with Layers panel expanded and visible?
