Old redeem code does not work

Hi,

I've purchased Photoshop and Illustrator more than 15 years ago and I've got an old redeem code, but it doesn't work anymore. I bought a bundle which included Photoshop 6.0, Illustrator and After effect. I currently have three CD's; one to download Photoshop 6.0, another one for Illustrator and another one for Adobe After effect. My code was ABW700R7135104-284, but it can't be entered anymore on the website. It costed me alot of money back then when I was a graphic designer to get these products and I really want to back on my new Computer. Is their a way now to download these product without repaying for a subscription since I already paid back then? Thank you very much.

Once you use a Redemption code to get a Real Serial Number that code can NOT be used again. It is a ONE TIME Deal and you should of recorded the serial number.

But in any event the version of both/either pieces of software can not be installed on current operating systems.

Maybe if you had an Old computer that Win 98 could be run on you might be able to install that software. That is if you had recorded the serial number.

As far as photoshop 6 is concerned it should work on windows 10 if your hard drive has 1 TB or less of free space.

Photoshop versions older than photoshop cs (ps ver 8 ) cannot see drives with more than 1TB of free space and will give a "Scratch Disk full" error, but since your drive is only 1TB to begin with that shouldn't be an issue.

That code you provided is the serial number you enter when installing photoshop or the other programs and there is no place on the adobe website to download older software, so you'll need to use your cds to install from.

Adobe only started using the 24 number code with photoshop 7.

If you do install photoshop 6, you can get the photoshop 6.0.1 update and the plugins update from here if needed.

Not sure about how well the other two programs; Illustrator and After Effects will work on windows 10.

That's Illustrator 9 and After Effects 5.0?

Probably best to get an old windows xp computer to run your programs and just keep xp offline.

That actually looks like a serial number for an old version of Illustrator, which you would enter during the install process. Photoshop would start with PWW (I don't know about After Effects).

An issue to be aware of when installing older software on newer computers is that the older software can't recognize disc drives over a cerain size, and will fail on installation. How big is your C:\ drive?

My c:/ drive is 1TB. Illustrator was one of the software in the bundle I bought, but I found this not funny that I have to buy Photoshop, Illustrator AND After effect when I already got them back then when I was a graphic designer. I just wish there was a way to get them back now...

I'm not sure (I hope someone who knows will chime in here), but I think the limit is 500GB. You might be able to partition the disc so that the C:/ drive is 500GB, and move things like Documents and Pictures to the other partition.

That said, a LOT of nice features have been added or improved since those days.

Do you mean Photoshop 6.0, which was released in 2000 or Photoshop CS6, released in 2012?

What is your current Operating System and version? Typically old software will only work on old operating systems.

Yes, I was using Photoshop 6.0 released in 2000. Like I said, I had Photoshop, Illustrator and After effect on my old machine. I was using Windows XP back then, but I am currently using a machine with Windows 10 Pro installed on it. I would just like to be able to redownload the softwares I bought back then and get them on this Adobe Account.

Photoshop 6.0 won’t run on Windows 10, but you might try contacting Adobe Customer Care if you need to confirm:
